Changes, Goals and Dreams

Finding the words to articulate my dreams, wishes and goals for 2010 has not been easy for me this year.  Usually I can ramble off a dozen or so “resolutions” without much thought.  Maybe it’s because this year I want them to mean something more – and I want to follow through with them.  Maybe it’s because I feel blessed and lucky and happy with my lot in life most of the time.  Maybe it’s because I’ve failed at keeping my resolutions so many times part of me just doesn’t want to bother anymore.  But, still, even though I know January 1 is just another day, I feel like it’s as good of time as any to make some positive changes and set some (hopefully) realistic goals.

So, for 2010 I would like to:

  • lose 30-40 lbs
  • pray more
  • spend more time talking to my husband
  • be a better wife
  • find a mentor
  • be open to changes and to the unexpected
  • spend more time with my family
  • laugh more
  • cry less
  • worry less
  • obsess less
  • enjoy life more
  • find something to do that encompasses my passions
  • write more
  • exercise more
  • act more
  • believe in myself more
  • love deeper
